Don’t think that One Picture Sells Itself

You want to market a body of work, not a single piece. Try working on a series, rather than a single piece, so you can address a number of different issues and a number of different pieces can be available for collectors.
Making the Call-Backs

At the beginning of the week, you should make a lot of calls. At the end of the week, you should call back everyone who hasn’t responded to you earlier that week. Don’t think that you’re bothering them unless they ask you to stop, usually the people you’ll want to contact are themselves very busy. Taking the time to follow-up shows you have the endurance it takes to complete a goal.
4 Tips for Studio Organization

I wouldn’t tell you to do anything I don’t find helps keep me on task. Here’s four ideas to help you keep on top of your art schedule.
Thank you for being an Artist

You have come a long way, and have a long way to go. Focus on what and who you are, and not on what you’re not.
Some people provide Great Feedback!

Why is it that some people give you feedback, and others don’t? Those awesome few who do, respect their time, but value that feedback and follow-up on it, act on it, and follow through on that feedback if it helps you progress in your work!
Spread Excitement and Joy!

If you would choose to get excited about what you and others are doing, you will draw positive attention to what you yourself are doing in your own work!
You don’t HAVE to Listen…

Learn to listen. If I could show you a way to impress others the easy way is to listen, and ask good questions. Are you interested in others? If you listen you will discover opportunities you wouldn’t have otherwise heard.
Build Relationship with Other Artists

Don’t think that you are the only artist in your area. You may not know local artists personally yet, so ask to interview them for a third party, like a newspaper or online resource, but be sure to find a way to meet other artists in person!
Thank you, Thank your Buyers!

Would you like to see your buyers come back? Invite them to your upcoming events, stay in touch, ask them for feedback, maybe send them a special gift for special occassions!
Volunteering and Networking

If you would choose to volunteer your time in a place where you want to work or where you’d like to place your artwork. You may not know how a museum works, but if you volunteer you can find out from the inside out!
